Despite the excitement around new nuclear technologies and their ability to generate clean power for data centers, the "real impact" won't be seen until the mid-2030s, says Macquarie Group analyst Charles Yonts.
"It's great - I'm very excited about all these prospects," says Yonts. "However, our demand visibility out into the mid 2030s is sketchy, at best." Yonts adds the earliest any reactors can come online is 2029, and those assets will be "initially very expensive."
